Give the product a moment to settle through the hair before heat goes anywhere near it, rather than drying immediately after you spray. Healthy, unprocessed hair usually has enough of its own cuticle intact that a rinse-out conditioner mostly adds weight — and it gets rinsed away a minute later anyway.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhat we'd suggest instead is Step 2 above. A leave-in does its work where it actually matters: while you're applying heat, and for the rest of the day after.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf your hair is chemically treated, very long, coarse or tightly curled, or simply feels tangled after rinsing, keep your rinse-out conditioner.
