No.115 is the lighter of the two, made for fine to normal hair that loses volume as soon as anything sits on the roots. Both bottles took more than two years of testing raw materials on real heads in our San Francisco salon before they were finished. Why we made two oils instead of one explains what that testing involved and how the two formulas differ.

Why an Oil Doesn't Have to Feel Like One

Argan Oil, Measured for Fine Hair

Most people with fine hair have tried an oil once and stopped. It went on, and by the afternoon the roots were flat. Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil is a heavy raw material on its own — that part is true. What took two years was the calibration. No.115 is the lighter of the two bottles: enough argan for the fatty acids and Vitamin E (Tocopherol), a well-known antioxidant, and not enough to sit on the hair. A volatile silicone base carries it, so it arrives spread thin and even instead of landing in one place.

Broccoli Seed Oil, Where the Shine Comes From

Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Seed Oil is why fine hair can look polished here without looking coated. It is often described as a plant-based alternative to heavy silicones — the slip and the gloss, without the buildup that makes day two worse than day one. In the salon, this is the ingredient we notice on the ends after blow-drying: smoother to the touch, but the hair still moves.

No Water in the Bottle

No.115 is a zero-water formula — not one drop. Nothing has to flash off before you pick up the dryer, so you can spray and start. It is also why the formula needs no preservatives, and why there is no added fragrance and no alcohol in it. Five ingredients, and that is the whole list.

Fewer Flyaways by Friday

Fine hair is where static shows up first — the halo in dry indoor air, the strands that lift after a hat comes off. A thin, even film is what keeps that down, which is why we ask you to spray the roots as well, not only the ends.

How to Use

On Wet Hair — Recommended

1. After shampooing, apply to towel-dried hair while still wet
2. Spray from roots to ends — do not skip the roots. Full coverage gives your hair a healthy glow from top to tip
3. Let it absorb for about 4 minutes for best results
4. Blow-dry and style as usual
5. For dry or damaged ends, re-apply a light mist to mid-lengths and ends during blow-drying

On Dry Hair — Finishing & Shine

Use a smaller amount and spray directly, or spray once into your palm and distribute evenly through your hair for a seamless, weightless Polished Finish.

Do you need a rinse-out conditioner?
If your hair hasn't had a chemical service (color, perm, or straightening), our S-7 Daily Shampoo followed by No.115 is usually enough on its own — wash, then finish, with no rinse-out conditioner in between. If your hair is chemically treated, very long, thick or tightly curled, or simply feels tangled after rinsing, keep your rinse-out conditioner. This isn't a rule, it's a starting point.
