The 2-Step Starter Set — S-7 Travel Shampoo + No.115 Leave-In Treatment

Two products, one routine. This is how we actually use S-7 and No.115 in the salon — wash, then finish — and it's the simplest way to start with Hair Caffe Lab.

What's in the set

• S-7 Daily Shampoo — Travel Size (3.4 fl oz / 100 mL). The full formula, not a thinner sample version. At 100 mL it's the largest bottle you can carry through airport security, and enough for a week or two of real, everyday washing.
• No.115 Leave-In Treatment Mist (4 fl oz / 118 mL). Our lightest finish — a water-free oil mist you can use from roots to ends without flattening fine hair.

Step 1 — Wash with S-7

Apply to wet hair, massage into a lather, and rinse thoroughly. S-7 is a sulfate-free daily shampoo built around the reality of washing five to seven times a week, and formulated without cocamidopropyl betaine.

Step 2 — Finish with No.115, before you dry

Towel-dry, then spray No.115 generously through wet hair — root to ends, not just the ends. Wait about four minutes, then blow-dry and style.

The four minutes matter. Give the product a moment to settle through the hair before heat goes anywhere near it, rather than drying immediately after you spray. If your ends are especially dry, add a little more through the mid-lengths partway through drying.

On dry hair, for shine at the end of the day: use less, or spray once into your hands and work it through with your fingers.

Do you need a conditioner?

If your hair hasn't been color-treated, permed, or straightened, we don't think you need a rinse-out conditioner after S-7. Healthy, unprocessed hair usually has enough of its own cuticle intact that a rinse-out conditioner mostly adds weight — and it gets rinsed away a minute later anyway.

What we'd suggest instead is Step 2 above. A leave-in does its work where it actually matters: while you're applying heat, and for the rest of the day after.

If your hair is chemically treated, very long, coarse or tightly curled, or simply feels tangled after rinsing, keep your rinse-out conditioner. This isn't a rule — it's a starting point.

Why No.115 in this set

No.115 is the lighter of our two leave-ins, and the one we reach for most often for fine to normal hair, or for anyone who has been disappointed by oils that looked good for an hour and then went flat. It contains no water, no alcohol, and no added fragrance.

If your hair is stiff, thick, or hard to control, the No.215 version of this set is the better match — the same idea, with a little more weight and suppleness.

Who this set is for

• You wash daily, or close to it, and want to see whether S-7 changes anything over a full week.
• You already use No.115 and want to try the shampoo it was designed to sit alongside.
• You'd rather own two products that work together than five that don't.

A note on your shower floor

S-7 can leave a slippery film on shower floors and tubs. Clean the floor with soap after use — rinsing with water alone won't remove it, and the film becomes slippery again the next time the floor gets wet.
